Mark was born and raised in Scarborough, Ontario and attended law school at the University of Ottawa. Upon the completion of his studies, Mark moved out West in order to article at a full-service firm in Regina, Saskatchewan where he obtained exposure to all areas of Litigation. After nearly two years out West, Mark returned to the Greater Toronto Area where he has been focusing on Wills, Estates and Real Estate areas of law.
In 2004, John Poletes started his own general law practice in Toronto and focuses primarily on real estate closings, commercial leasing, business transactions, and wills and estates.
Prior to practicing law, John was a real estate broker specializing in commercial real estate, and the manager of a real estate office in Thornhill. He has been an OREA instructor, served on the Arbitration Committee, and maintained his TREB membership since 1983.
John obtained an LL.B. from Queen’s University Law School and holds a Bachelor of Administrative Studies with a certificate in Real Estate Studies from York University.
